Attached you will find the application for the Tom Mellis Memorial Scholarship.  The application must be received, no later than January 15th, 2017.  Inform your students to list all leadership positions they have held on a separate schedule.  We will need a detailed explanation of all community service projects they were involved. ( Be Very Detailed as to number of hours and what their role was in the project).  List these projects on a separate schedule.

All applications must have unopened transcripts attached.  ANY APPLICATION THAT IS RECEIVED WITH OUT TRANSCRIPTS WILL BE DEEMED INCOMPLETE AND NOT REVIEWED BY THE COMMITTEE.  ANY INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.

This scholarship is open to any high school senior that is participating in a varsity sport.  Applicants will be judged on their academics, leadership and community service.  Their athletic accomplishments will not have any bearing on the awarding of this scholarship.

With higher education costs continuing to rise, including community college tuition fees, PG&E's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) pray an important role in helping students in the communities we serve! PG&E Employees and Retirees, awarded $430,000 in scholarships to 176 students in 2016 alone.


We are proud to announce that is a continual 26% increase since 2014! Beginning on November 1,2016 information and applications for our 2017 scholarships are available on-line for all college-bound students within our service area. Deadline to apply is February 1st.

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. School Visitors

Parents/guardians and other guests of the district are welcome and encouraged to visit TUSD schools. Visitors must respect the learning environment however and maintain proper behavior and decorum. (EC 51512)

  • All visitors shall report to the office and “sign-in” to notify staff they are in the building or on school grounds.
  • The principal or designee shall provide a visible means of identification for all individuals who are not students or staff members while on school premises.
  • Visitors shall return to the office and “sign-out” before leaving the campus.

Disruption of the orderly process of the school is prohibited. In accordance with Penal Code 626.7, the principal or his/her designee is authorized to deny access, ban or bar future access, and remove or request the removal of any visitor whose behavior is disruptive to the educational/ working environment of the school.

 

Visitors to any of our campuses who have been denied access or who have been asked to leave may schedule an appointment to appeal to the Director of Student Services at (209) 667-0887 daily between the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm.
