Welcome to Pitman High School . . . Home of the Pride!

High school is an exciting time for students as they work toward earning a diploma while preparing for adulthood.  As I watch my own children learn, I am reminded daily of how quickly children grow up and how every moment of the path they take to adulthood is important.

The 2017 – 2018 school year marks Pitman High School’s sixteenth year and is focused on the completion of a full Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation self-study in the fall and a committee visit in the spring.  This was a great year to engage in this process as the WASC expectation mirrors that of our work for the past few years:  establishing a mission of high levels of learning for all students and creating a plan to support “Success for Each Student.”

Our desire is to establish a growth mindset throughout our campus with an authentic focus on learning, collaboration, and results.   Learning is a lifelong process and our staff has engaged in professional development and collaborative opportunities to strengthen our practices.  We look forward to continuing our efforts to work together to identify student learning needs and provide support for each student.

In addition to supporting student academic success, the Pitman community strives to strengthen character in our students.  It is our goal to teach, model and reinforce the particular traits of respect, responsibility, grit (perseverance), and zest (a passion for learning) at Pitman High School.   These qualities are key elements of being a successful learner and citizen.

Pitman High School is a special place and it is exciting to see the campus grow and  focus on learning and “Success for Each Student.”  As a member of our school community, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We look forward to partnering with you in supporting the success of each student.

Never Settle, Never Quit...Roll Pride!
