Our commencement ceremony is designed to celebrate the Class of 2016. We will be selecting two students from the senior class to be speakers at our 2016 Pitman High School Commencement Ceremony. One speaker will be selected from our pool of Distinguished Scholars, which includes the valedictorian, and one speaker will be selected from the senior class as a whole. Speeches must be under 5 minutes and must contain content appropriate to commencement. Please review the timeline below:

May 9: Hard copy of speech due to the principal
May 10: Committee will select finalists
May 11 – 12: Speaker auditions (times TBA)
May 13: Speakers announced

Attention Juniors:  If you are college bound and wish to sign up for a spring SAT or SAT subject test you must register by May 5th for the June 4th test.  June is the last spring test date of the year.  It is recommended you take the writing portion of the test as it is now optional.  Register online at sat.org/register.  Fee waivers are available in the counseling office.  See your counselor if you think you may qualify.

The Disneyland permission slip is available to pick up in the Activities office. The permission slip is due with your final payment, on April 29th. The final payment must be in cash, money order, or credit card - no personal checks allowed.

School Visitors

Parents/guardians and other guests of the district are welcome and encouraged to visit TUSD schools. Visitors must respect the learning environment however and maintain proper behavior and decorum. (EC 51512)

  • All visitors shall report to the office and “sign-in” to notify staff they are in the building or on school grounds.
  • The principal or designee shall provide a visible means of identification for all individuals who are not students or staff members while on school premises.
  • Visitors shall return to the office and “sign-out” before leaving the campus.

Disruption of the orderly process of the school is prohibited. In accordance with Penal Code 626.7, the principal or his/her designee is authorized to deny access, ban or bar future access, and remove or request the removal of any visitor whose behavior is disruptive to the educational/ working environment of the school.


Visitors to any of our campuses who have been denied access or who have been asked to leave may schedule an appointment to appeal to the Director of Student Services at (209) 667-0887 daily between the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm.
